XTrack EQ32

Features:

XTrack EQ32 allows to control the equalization of one or many tracks at the same time. Moreover, each equalization can be enabled/disabled by one click. Outputs can also be muted one by one or together.
XTrack EQ32 provides many configurations:

-Mono,
-Stereo,
-LRS,
-Quatro,
-8.0 Music.

Menu Bar:

	Mute or active all the outputs in one click. When all the outputs are muted, a red cross is displayed over this button.
	Enable/Disable all the effects (equalization and gain) of this plugin. When the device is disabled, an orange cross is displayed over this button. If no license is found, this button is grayed and cannot be pressed, all the effects are disabled.

Give a name to your device in order to identify more easily your topology. Double click on this area allows to change the text.

Options: -Set name: change the device's name. -Set style: change the device's style. Currently, there are two styles 'Dark' and 'Ice'. -Select all the tracks: clik here to select quickly all the tracks. -Bypass all the tracks EQs: allows to bypass all the tracks EQs with only one click.

Help: -XTrack EQ32 Help: opens the XTrack EQ32 help file. -Website: access to the SoundOutTheBox website in order to read news, support informations... -About XTrack EQ32: shows the XTrack EQ32 About box. -About license: shows license information.

Displayed Track: allows to know what is the displayed track.

Tracks: Select the tracks you want to control. If a track is selected, its color is blue. When an output signal is too high, a clip warning is shown, the track border color change to Red.

EQs:

Each slider control the gain of one equalizer between -12dB and +12dB for a specific frequency. EQs frequencies are fixed from 16Hz to 20kHz and are splitted in four differents areas Low, LowMid, HighMid and High.
Press the Ctrl key and click on a slider in order to bring back its value to 0dB.
The gain can be changed with moving the slider thumb or directly with the spin box.
If the gain value is different to 0dB, the bottom part of the slot color is blue.

When an equalizer is seleted, its border is blue.
Click on an equalizer to select it or choose its frequency in the combo box.

A bypass button has been added in order to choose easily to activate or no all the equalizers for the selected tracks.

Save the EQs gains of the displayed track by clicking on the save button.
Load the EQs gains for each selected track with using the load button.

Input:

Control the input gain (Gain:0dB to -100dB). Gain can be set with the slider or for more precision with the spin box. For a better use, it is recommanded to have a negative gain in order to avoid clipping during audio processing. VuMeter shows the output level between 0dB and -100dB.

Output:

Control the output gain (Gain:0dB to -100dB). Gain can be set with the slider or for more precision with the spin box. On/Off button allows to mute or activate the output on the selected tracks. VuMeter shows the output level between 0dB and -100dB.

Sample rate must be superior to 40kHz in order to respect Nyquist/Shannon theorem which says that the sampling frequency needs to be double the highest sound frequency you want to play back.

Technologies:

The EQ transfer function derives from analog prototype and has been digitized using the Bilinear Transform.
For more precision, Processing functions use double variables.

XTrack EQ32 has been created with the VST3 steinberg SDK.
Vst2Wrapper class has been used to convert the VST3 plugin (XTrack_EQ32.vst3) to the VST plugins (XTrack_EQ32_Mono.dll, XTrack_EQ32_Stereo.dll, XTrack_EQ32_X3.dll, XTrack_EQ32_Quatro.dll and XTrack_EQ32_X8.dll).

The graphic part (XTrack_EQ32.vstui) has been realized with QT. QT is an across-platform application and UI framework.
